Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures
Parent Safety & Traffic Guidelines
Student safety and educational focus are our highest priorities. To ensure a safe, organized, and smooth arrival and dismissal process, please review and adhere to our drop-off, pick-up, and parking lot guidelines below.
Daily Timelines & Safety Expectations
- Drop-Off Window: Arrival is between 8:30 AM and 8:50 AM. Announcements start promptly at 8:50 AM.
- No Early Arrival: Students cannot be dropped off prior to 8:30 AM due to lack of staff supervision.
- Door Closure: The North Side Door closes at 9:00 AM sharp. After 9:00 AM, students must enter through the Front Entrance.
- Punctuality & Attendance: Students arriving after 9:00 AM will be marked absent/late. Late policies are strictly enforced.
- Drop-Off Location: Drive to the back parking lot and walk students to the North Side Door. Do not send students running across the parking lot.
- No Dismissals (3:00 PM - 3:25 PM): Early check-outs are strictly prohibited between 3:00 PM and 3:25 PM to prevent classroom disruptions during end-of-day routines.
- Medical & Appointments: Early pick-ups before 3:00 PM are allowed only for verified medical reasons or pre-scheduled appointments.
- Prior Notice Required: Parents must provide advance written notice to the office or teacher for any required early pick-up.
- Dismissal Entry: Park in the back lot and enter through the North Side Exit at 3:25 PM to pick up your child directly from their classroom teacher.
- Authorized Pick-Ups: Students will only be released to a parent, guardian, or designated older sibling. Please inform all authorized pickup individuals of these rules.
- Grade-Specific Rules: Grade 7 & 8 students may cross the parking lot independently if done safely. For all other grades, an adult/older sibling must approach the teacher directly.
- Teacher Focus: Please refrain from long conversations with teachers during dismissal, as they are actively supervising other students.
- North Door Closure: The North door closes at 3:45 PM. After 3:45 PM, students must be picked up from the Front Entrance.
- Safe Crossing: Accompanying adults/siblings are responsible for ensuring students cross safely. Please hold younger children's hands.
- No Playing: Students should not run, bounce balls, or play in the parking lot at any time.
- Safe Driving: Drive slowly, stay alert, and check around your vehicle before moving.
- NO REVERSING: Reversing in the parking lot creates severe safety hazards for children and is strictly prohibited.
Important Supervision Notice: Official school supervision ends strictly at 4:00 PM.
A fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged for late pick-ups after 4:00 PM.
